This Week in AC:PC: Ladybugs, Seagulls, and Telescopes

Leif’s Spring Flowers event kicked off on Monday, Celeste can now visit players’ camps, and Gulliver may be visiting Sunburst Island soon. All this, and more, this week in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.

Spring has arrived in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, turning the grass green and bringing yet another wave of content.

Let’s get started.

Leif’s Spring Flowers Event Has Begun

Leif has arrived, and he is recruiting players to help catch ladybugs for his special project. Just as with Rover and Lottie’s events, players can lure the critters by growing event-specific flowers once they have collected seeds from helping other animals.

But if you haven’t played a garden event yet, or if you just like doing the tutorial, don’t do the tutorial this time around. When Leif asks, “Do you know how to catch ladybugs?” responding with, “Please show me!” will crash the game. Nintendo is aware of this bug and is currently working on a fix.

In the meantime, if you need to peek at the tutorial you can click the handy, “How to Play” button in both the “Leif’s Spring Flowers Event,” and “Leif’s Spring Flowers Event Known Issue/Resolution,” announcements under the notices tab.

Celeste Can Come Camping

Celeste is a fan favorite from the main Animal Crossing series. For those of you who don’t know, Celeste is an astronomer who works in the museum with her brother Blathers in the main games.

You can get Celeste to visit your campsite in the same way you attract K.K. Slider or Tom Nook: by building her favorite piece of furniture. As you may have guessed, her preferred piece is a beautiful telescope.

While K.K. Slider and Tom Nook’s items cost 250 Leaf Tickets, Celeste’s telescope will cost 300 Leaf Tickets. And, much like her predecessors, she will only be here for a limited time, with a promise to return in the future.

Players have until April 28th to collect the necessary Leaf Tickets and craft Celeste’s telescope before she disappears.

Gulliver is On His Way

Speaking of fan favorites, Gulliver is coming to an island near you! Gulliver is a traveling gull from the main series who often crash lands in a player’s town, offering the player a unique item in the encounter.

The official Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Twitter accounts have begun teasing his arrival with screenshots of the unfortunate gull washed up on Sunburst Island. While no date has been given yet, players can rest assured that he will be arriving soon.

What’s Happening Next Week?

The second half of Leif’s Spring Flowers event kicks off Saturday, 3/3/2018 after the daily reset. Players will be able to plant purple flowers, attract purple ladybugs, and then collect the rest of the goodies Leif has to offer.

If you haven’t finished part one yet, have no fear. Players can still complete goals from part one during part two. The entire event ends next Thursday, 3/8/2018.

And if you’re short on Leaf Tickets for Celeste’s telescope, the stretch goals for Leif’s event are a great way to get some.
