State of Decay 2 was officially unveiled at the Xbox conference, and it show’s the game is getting huge changes over the first title.
State of Decay 2 is the sequel to the original of the same name back in 2015. Properly unveiled at the Microsoft E3 Conference to show off the co-op zombie survival game. The game, which was first revealed last year, expands on the original Xbox 360. This time with an open-world setting and cooperative gameplay with up to 3 other players that forces you to survive the zombie apocalypse. This includes fighting off the typical undead hordes we love to kill, as well as unique giant zombies for extra difficulty. The game will let players build their own shelters to better survive the apocalypse, while also dealing with other conditions like hunger and the weather.
The game’s synopsis reads: Small-Town America, one year from today. The dead have risen, and civilization has fallen. Even the military couldn’t stop the zombies, and now humanity stands on the brink of extinction. It’s up to you to gather survivors and build a community, explore your lasting legacy, and redefine what it means to survive.
State of Decay 2 will launch on Xbox One and PC in spring of 2018.
