Legend of Heroes: Trail of Cold Steel has been officially announced for PC and is knocking at your door!
Is official, after the long wait, the release date for The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is finally known! Get ready to play the epic RPG on PC on the 2nd of August. That is right everyone, just 2 short weeks from today the game will be released on the PC.
XSEED Games, the independent minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA Inc. has released this precious information, and not only will it be available through Steam, but also through GOG.com, and the Humble Store. Players who buy it during launch week will get a 10% discount from the regular price of $39.99, €39.99, and £29.99, depending on the coin you use.
The Original Trails of Cold Steel was released on the PS3 and the PS Vita in North America in 2015, and now it finally makes its way to PC, with visual enhancements and over 5,000 new lines of English voice acting.
The Role Playing Game, Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel will take place on the same continent as the fan-favorite, Trails in the Sky. Trails of Cold Steel will explore more of Erebonia and give us the chance to delve deeper into the political conflicts of the powerful empire. This time we will take the role of elite military students at a time of great turmoil, as we enjoy the school life and bond with our fellow students, learning new abilities in battle and use them on the tactical turn-based combat. We will be able to upgrade our party members through the use of “ARCUS” System, a streamlined version of the classical system “Orbment” from the previous titles of the series. Giving us a greater access to abilities and a quicker customization.
For those on PS3 or Vita (if there are many of you left), then it should be noted that you can get the game in both digital and physical formats. With a bonus of the game on PSVita being compatible with the PlayStation TV, so we say it’s worth checking out if you can’t hold out for the PC release. Also, for those of you who are into the technical side, be sure to check Peter “Durante” Thoman journey on the optimization of the PC release on XSEED’s blog.
Everyone is putting in their best work into the PC version, and now it’s our turn to wait out the remaining 2 weeks. Mark your calendars and set those reminders, for the game is pretty much knocking on our doors now.
