Bandai Namco announced the release date of its cult classic JRPG remaster .Hack//G.U. Last Recode. Combining the second trilogy with a fourth chapter and tech updates.
The .Hack//G.U. series is getting a couple more RE- words to go with the second trilogy REmaster. Bandai Namco announced the RElease of .Hack//G.U. Last REcode. The REmaster collects the works of the second trilogy and adds a fourth chapter along with lots of technological updates.
The original games were met with some REluctance when they launched, but the story has maintained a cult like following over the years. So much so that copies of the original PS2 discs are selling for as much as 200 dollars online. This might have some people soon asking for a REfund.
This is not just a REcycled RPG. The story was one of the most highly acclaimed features of these titles and has been carried over to a manga, a novel, and CGI film. The trailer above REcaps the entire .Hack//G.U. series, as well as REveal a look at the all new chapter.
On November 3rd, 2017, the title will launch on the PlayStation 4 and Steam with some shiny updates. Including a 60 fps frame rate, gameplay balance changes, a 16:9 widescreen picture and don’t forget the awesome 1080p REsolution.
