Just two days after the success of its first Community Day, Pokemon Go announces the date, and the rewards, for the second global event in this new monthly occasion.
Pokemon Go has had many failed events in the past, but with server issues stabilizing and the community strengthening around their own local groups, recent events have started to see more success. The latest event was the first monthly Pokemon Go Community Day which boasted a few hours of increased rewards, and a chance to catch a one-of-a-kind surf Pikachu, and perhaps a shiny version at that. This event was met with huge success, leaving players asking, “When’s the next one?”
Now, two days after the success of Community Day #1, Niantic has announced the details for Community Day #2:
Date: Feb 24, 2018 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM Pacific Standard Time
3x Stardust for catching Pokemon
Featured Pokemon: Dratini
Dratini’s Event Exclusive Move: TBA
While the unique move for this event’s Dratini has yet to be announced, the fact that it is a Dratini is incredibly exciting for players who haven’t completed their Kanto Pokedex yet. And, if the last event is anything to judge by, there is a good chance we will see shiny variations of this little dragon.
So gather your friends, mark your calendars, Pokemon Go is giving us a reason to leave the house again.
