Disc Jam, the fast-paced competitive sports game likened to Rocket League has been announced for a Nintendo Switch release next month.
Developer High Horse Entertainment announced today that their disc-throwing, shot-blocking competitive sports game that previously landed on PS4 and PC will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch next month. Available only on the eShop on February 8, the game will get some exclusive Nintendo Switch-specific features alongside a massive update for all players.
Disc Jam is best played with and against others. So High Horse is making it far easier to connect with players both locally and online. The Switch version will feature cross-platform play wth PC players, and also features support for local wireless with up to 3 others so long as they have their own Switch consoles. Ever wanted to challenge someone on the spot while on the bus to work? Well, now you can.
But that’s not all, the game will also be getting a massive content update that will launch on all platforms alongside the Switch release. Bringing a host of community-requested features to the arena to satisfy the fans. The game will also be getting a new character, South American volleyball player Lannie that is a perfect balance between power and agility. Not only that, but the game will include two new game modes.
Both will focus on Ranked Leagues and Seasons. They are exactly what they sound like, except this time, players can choose to do this either on or offline. While the latter may not test your skill against real people, the developers are promising a challenge for even seasons vets of the game. So don’t discount it because it’s not online.
As we said above, the game and it’s update for all platforms will be releasing on February 8th. More details will be released before then, so stay tuned Coin-Droppers. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
