Conan Exiles is getting bigger and better in just a few short days. August 16th brings a swath of new changes and features, not to mention a release for Xbox One.
In just a few days the world of Conan Exiles is about to get a whole lot bigger, and better. It’s likely if you’re playing the game already you knew “The Frozen North” was coming. Well the developers have finally let us know just what that means for the game. It means drastically improved combat, an overhauled loot system, 300+ new items, two new hand crafted dungeons, and much more.
Kicking off phase two of early access on PC, and launching on Xbox One the same day, fans have a lot to look forward to when it launches. This video above also shows off just what the game has gone through its first 6 months of existence. From balancing to additional features. Those 300+ new items coming with “The Frozen North” aren’t the only new items the game has seen since launch. With hundreds releasing prior to that. The developers have been hard at work, listening to fans and trying to give them the game they deserve.
The best part about this update is it’s completely free. It’s easily the size of DLC, or even a small expansion pack for most games. Funcom however, wants its fans to be happy and satisfied with their purchase. Everyone who has the game will receive it, and anyone who buys the game after it releases will also get it. Including Xbox One players.
Conan Exiles is currently planned to leave Early Access and see a full launch on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in early 2018. The team has done impressive work on the game so far, being able to expand and improve the game significantly the first six months of Early Access. Yet, they still aren’t satisfied and aren’t looking to slow down as the game pushes forward. They plan to work side-by-side with the community to help realize the game’s full potential. The Creative Director for the game has this to say about Conan Exiles and the new update;
“I am very proud of the team and the work they have done so far in Early Access,” says Creative Director Joel Bylos. “They have really been working their arses off fixing bugs, squashing exploits, improving core features, and they have also added entire new features and content such as siege warfare, climbing, dungeons, and much more. They have also built this entire expansion update which makes the game bigger and more chock full of features than ever before. We’re certainly not done and we still have a long way to go until full launch, but we are very proud of what Conan Exiles is today and we are very grateful for all the support, feedback, and input we have received from our community thus far.”
The Xbox One version will only be $5 more than the PC version at $34.99 on August 16th.
