Absolver Receives New Combat Trailer

Studio Sloclap has released a new intense trailer for their upcoming melee combat game Absolver.

If you’ve never heard of Absolver, it is an upcoming online multiplayer RPG with a heavy focus on combat. You are a Prospect under control of the Guides, the new rulers of the fallen Adal Empire. These Guides have placed you there to determine your worth in joining their elite corps of Absolvers.

In these ruins, you wake to find a mysterious mask on your face, and faint memories of an esoteric ceremony. Freeing you from hunger, thirst, and even death, the mask is the creation of the Guides, who have placed you here to test your might. As you wander the forsaken lands, you will encounter other Prospects such as yourself. They will test you, and on your journey you will learn new combat styles, acquire weapons, new gear and armor. Throughout you will also build a team of warriors with whom to fight side by side with in Arenas of combat.

In Absolvers new combat trailer above, we are shown each absolver has a unique combat style at the beginning. As you progress you will be able to customise your fighting style making it unique to you. Every fighter will be able to select from a set of attacks and combine them at will to create totally new combos, allowing for unpredictability.

Absolver will release for PS4 and PC August 29th, with an Xbox One release later down the line.
